Humble beginnings

1952
A twist of fate – Ian starts school on the very site where Foundry Group is located today.
1960...
Peter Boocock begins purchasing land in the area, starting with 10 acres opposite Manga Road. By 1980, Peter has accumulated 40 hectares across Foundry Road and East Coast Road, Silverdale.
...to 1980
1986
Peter and Ian Boocock form Cabra Developments Ltd to develop their Silverdale land holdings. Cabra Holdings is also established to focus on residential land development.
1990s
In 1993, Peter constructs the first maintenance workshop for Hiway Stabilizers Ltd. Peter, along with his sons Paul and John, establish the Hiways office at Ingot Place in 1996.
2000s
By 2012 Peter, John, and Paul have started to build commercial properties on Foundry Road. Paul and John establish SAM Property in 2014 to develop and manage the commercial buildings across the Silverdale area. In 2022, Cabra relocates to new purpose-built offices at 30 Foundry Road.
2025
Finally, SAM Property and Cabra Group combine to form Foundry Group Ltd, bringing together decades of experience in land, residential, and commercial development.
